A surprise toast from the hosts
The Ivy Barn offered a beautifully refurbished, stylish room that was exceptionally clean. I appreciated the attention to detail with thoughtful local tips from the hosts. They even provided us with cold beers to celebrate our anniversary!
The surrounding village felt rather quiet, with limited dining options and the nearby pub not opening until evening. We struggled to find dinner on our special night until a cab ride took us further afield.

the ivy barn was super clean and had a comfy bed. loved the little touches like bathrobes and slippers. breakfast was really good and delivered right to my room, which felt like a treat! it’s in a cute village close to a shop and pub, and parking was easy. overall, a nice place for an overnight stay!
the room felt a bit cramped and there’s no communal space to hang out. also, the view from the window wasn't great.

I had a great time at this lovely spot, especially enjoying the tasty breakfast bap and the little veranda for some relaxation. The jacuzzi was a perfect way to unwind at the end of the day! Just a heads up, it would be nice if the check-in process was a bit more welcoming.
